Summary

In today's world, you need more than just specialised knowledge - this is where (key) skills come into play! They help you to assert yourself in your studies and in your future and to develop personally. Whether it's managing your time better, resolving conflicts skilfully or learning to work scientifically - these are all skills that you need now and in the future! You can learn these and many other skills with Compass, Saarland University's key skills programme. Free from curricular constraints, choose the workshops that interest you and receive the UdS key competences certificate at the end. Students must complete 30 hours of workshops from the core skill programme and write a portfolio to receive 3 ECTS.

Description

In this taster session, we will introduce Frame VR, a Metaverse platform, and demonstrate how it can enhance students’ motivation for autonomous learning in a flipped classroom setting. Miss Carman Chu from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University will share her case of adopting this tool in her teaching. All are welcome. No coding experience is required — as long as you have a computer connected to the internet, you can create your own virtual space in Frame VR for free. Join us now!
