International Summer Music Academy

International Summer Music Academy is an intensive six-day artistic programme designed for advanced and aspiring musicians seeking high-level performance development in an international environment. Organised in collaboration with Singapore Raffles Music College, the Academy centres on individual masterclasses led by internationally recognised performers and professors, offering participants focused artistic guidance, interpretative refinement, and advanced vocal / instrumental / conducting (orchestra/choir) training. The programme includes daily individual sessions, ensemble work, and participant concerts, culminating in a final gala concert where selected participants perform together with a symphony orchestra in a professional concert setting. A distinctive component of the Academy is the thematic laboratory “Stage as Mission”, which explores focus, responsibility, teamwork, and decision-making under performance conditions. Building Engaging Language Learning (BELL)

This summer school explores active and practical approaches to contemporary language teaching and learning, equipping the participants with strategies to create more inclusive, engaging and effective learning environments. The participants will examine how the plurilingual approach and mediation practices can support communication, collaboration and learners’ social-emotional development while valuing their full linguistic repertoires. Through hands-on workshops, the participants will experience and design motivating classroom practices, including escape room challenges, literature and performance-based activities and collaborative learning tasks that promote meaningful language use. The course also focuses on optimising classroom time through flipped learning and developing personalised lesson plans that address diverse learner needs and encourage learner autonomy. In addition, the participants will explore the pedagogical value of translation and cross-linguistic strategies to strengthen language awareness and communicative competence. In this course, we will apply central statistical, AI and XAI models to data analysis (XAI = explainable AI) in a computer environment. We will compare conventional statistical models to the corresponding AI and XAI models by analysing various example data sets. Lithuanian Language and Culture Summer and Winter Courses

Each summer (July–August) and winter (January), Vytautas Magnus University offers an intensive one-month Lithuanian Language and Culture Course. This course is open to participants of all ages who wish to learn Lithuanian or enhance their skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The programme provides a well-rounded learning experience that combines language instruction with cultural immersion. Participants benefit from Lithuanian language classes, lectures, workshops, discussions, film evenings, sightseeing tours, and excursions — all designed to deepen their understanding of Lithuanian lifestyle and culture. The course is led by experienced and highly qualified teachers and professors. The Course includes a total of 213 academic hours (equivalent to 8 ECTS credits). Italian Conversation Course – Level B1 (10 hours) December 2025 – January 2026 This 10-hour course is designed for learners who already have a basic knowledge of Italian and wish to improve their ability to communicate in everyday situations. Through practical conversation activities, role-plays, and short authentic listening exercises, students gradually develop greater confidence and spontaneity in speaking. The course aims to strengthen functional communicative skills, enabling participants to handle common interactions with native speakers—such as greeting and introducing themselves, asking for and giving information, ordering at a restaurant or café, shopping, finding their way around the city and using public transportation, and expressing needs, preferences, and simple opinions. The approach focuses on oral communication, with special attention to pronunciation, listening, and spontaneous interaction. Summer school of Slovene language "Hello, this is the Slovene Mediterranean!"

The Summer Course is intended for all who wish to learn Slovene, from absolute beginners to those who want to improve their language knowledge. It is preferred that the participants are at least 18 years of age. Nine-days language course is held on different levels: elementary, intermediate and advanced. The course comprises 40 periods. The duration of each period is 45 minutes, and there are 5 periods a day (from 9 a.m. to 13.30 p.m.). Upon completion students will be awarded 3 ECTS. All participants of the summer school must pay a fee of €60, which is not covered by the scholarship. The deadline for paying the registration fee is 15th of June 2025.
